False Edge

For single-edged swords, the term "False Edge", "Short Edge", or "Back Edge" refers to a short sharpened region in the foible near the tip. For double-edged weapons, such as longswords, it refers to the edge that faces back towards your arm (opposite the leading edge, which faces towards your fingers).
