SwordWiki Guidelines
From SwordWiki
In order to ensure the accuracy and relevancy of articles contained within SwordWiki, it is asked that all people editing or submitting articles follow these guidelines.

Article Topics
All articles on SwordWiki must pertain in subject matter to swords or other pre-modern and edged or blunt weapons in a significant way. For instance, an Article on Errol Flynn and his career in sword related films would be fine, but an article about Errol Flynn's home town would not be OK, even though Errol Flynn used swords. An article about a specific production sword is also encouraged (Please see our Sword template) although custom pieces or obscure antique swords should not be detailed in this way. For example, an article about the AT DN1462, the 1796 Light Cavalry Saber, or the Edward III Sword would be OK, but an article on a specific Vince Evans sword or an antique not of notable historical value would not be appropriate. Articles about CAS Hanwei maces and axes would be be fine, since Hanwei also makes swords, and also because they are historical hand weapons similar in use to swords.
Templates
All articles should fit a template, if applicable.

Images
In order to post an image to SwordWiki you must have either created it or have the right to distribute it. This means that no matter how wonderful that picture from Website.com is, you cannot post it without express permission from Website.com. Proof of permission must be provided to a SwordWiki moderator if granted, in order to ensure moderation of copyrighted materials.
Manufacturer Editing
Manufacturers of swords may add objective pictures, statistics, and details about past revisions of a given model, but may not add anecdotal reviews or information geared towards marketing the sword. The weight of a sword is a welcome addition, but describing it as "a wonderfully light and weildy weapon" would not be. Links to the manufacturer's description may be included in a sword's page, as long as it is labeled as "Manufacturer's Description."
